MOVING ALTAR

《移動中的祭壇》源於我在東南亞旅遊時的觀察，當地許多計程車司機的車上會擺放神像與佛牌等信仰物件，交通載具彷彿成為了在城市中移動的祭壇。作品以感光變色材料作為媒材，使圖像會隨著不同天氣、時間下的自然光變化，藉此呈現旅行記憶中這些象徵物不斷流動的狀態，以及光與神聖性之間的聯繫。

Moving Altar originates from my observations while traveling in Southeast Asia, where many local taxi drivers place religious objects—such as statues and amulets—inside their vehicles. These modes of transport seem to become altars moving through the city. This work utilizes photochromic materials as a medium, allowing the images to change with natural light under varying weather conditions and times. Through this, it presents the constantly fluid state of these symbols within travel memories and the connection between light and the sacred.
